About Us

Urban & Country Homes is a huge part of my life, and has been since 2012. Day 1 was incredibly exciting, sat in an outbuilding with my then business partner Linda, 2 computers and enthusiasm the likes of which I have never had for any prior job! With years of experience in the property industry, now was our time to shine, and do it our way!

Day 2 we gained our very first instruction, a semi detached house in Alderney, Poole, and I have never felt so much pride as I did that September day in seeing a shiny new Urban & Country Homes ‘For Sale’ board outside. 1 instruction turned into our very first sale, our 1st ‘For Sale’ board changed to ‘Sold’ in no time. We were off and running!

Our vision was clear. I had the industry experience, Linda also had years of invaluable experience outside of the property profession, a great team.

At the time, there was no other estate agent with the vision that we had, certainly not locally anyway. Our little agency would not be High Street based. We had worked together in a Bournemouth town centre agency for years, the footfall was near on non existent due to the prevalence of the internet. Urban & Country Homes shop front would be online. A radical, innovative approach. We embraced the online tools at our disposal, whilst retaining the personal qualities and local knowledge that had made us so successful when working for other people. This would allow us to sell property anywhere within the BH conurbation, in the early days, we even sold 4 apartments in Southampton!

Our ethos has evolved over the years, 10 years on and Linda has semi retired and I still have the same enthusiasm for providing, what I hope is, outstanding customer care with the focus on recommendation and repeat business.

We are not the biggest estate agency, we never want to be. What we do have, however, is a huge heart, in excess of 20 years experience in the local property market, enthusiasm, hunger to push forward and keep improving and a commitment that we will always do our very best.
